Browsers

Whenever possible, view your website with various browsers and versions, including text-only browsers.

Graphics

Graphics should enhance a page, not detract from it. (Pages should not have a cluttered appearance.) Many people avoid graphics-intensive sites, or do not automatically download graphics.

• Fit into 640 by 480 pixel screen.
• Format as .GIF for most images; .JPG for photographs or scanned images.
• Use 16 colors whenever possible.
• Coordinate with other graphics on all pages in the site.
