This is Cote d'Ivoire's political capital. It is about 3 hours north of Abidjan and is by far the most opulent of Cote d'Ivoire's city. Actually it is totally ridiculous how much money was put into this city considering there is no industry and Cote d'Ivoire doesn't have that big a government. The parliament, Hotel, and Basilica are enormous. It makes you wonder why they would spend so much money here and not on the millions of starving, impoverished citizens which this city was supposedly built to serve.
