a short history of BOLT before 1998.

The concept of BOLT was developed by Pistol Pete back in 1993, after meeting up with C.O.D. Dean Thomas, down in Atlanta Georgia. In the late spring of 1993 Pistol moved up to Boston. First things first one mixer and a pair of 1200s, thus began the path to become a DJs. During that time building up connections and getting into the club scene in Boston.

The following summer 1994, Pistol started an infoline called "InfoTech RaveLine" many of small flyers were handed out. In the summer of 1994, BOLT was created. That fall of 1994 The radio Show TRANSITION was created focusing on new DJ talent in Boston. Hosted by Pistol Pete and with residents Albe and Pete Moss and Co-Host PoPi. During that time Bingus Khan became part of Bolt after being a part of the Transition.
In the fall of 1995, Robyn Banks join the force with E3 Graphics, handling our graphics needs. Transition continued through the spring of 1996.

In the summer of 1996 we started doing Bus Trips to events. The first was to Park Raves "Fantasia ii" July 6th 1996. In July we threw our first small party "Styro Foam" in Boston at the fleet center area of Boston. In the month of August we did our second bus trip to Monkey Biz and part 2 of "Styro Foam". On October 12th The Uranus bus trip was launch. The Gabber Gathering was held in November with Techno B,on 23rd the Gabber Gathering, a larger event ended on a sour note. Techno B joined up after the Gathering along with DJ Telekinetic, providing a strong Hardcore Gabber Base of operations. In December yet another bus trip to Brass Monkey was done, and DJ Bingus Khan spun at 365 New Years party here in Boston.

Last year 1997, we continued with more bus trips to Venus by Phato, It! by Circle and to Fantasia III by Park Rave. We debuted on the Internet in the spring with this site. In October we did a club night on October 8th "Clock Work". Finished up with a bus trip to Maddness [Dec 31st, 1997], by Park Rave.
