This website is optimized for screens set to 800 x 600 resolution. You should maximize your browser window to full screen. It will show the whole picture and web page without scrolling off screen, and take maximum advantage of the available real estate. The active elements are a fixed size, so on higher resolution screens it will simply appear smaller.

All photographs have been re-rendered from their original size to fit in a 467 x 350 frame. This size seems to be a resonable compromise between viewability and download time over a telephone modem. An image should load in about ten seconds plus whatever internet delays add. Anyone looking at my family pictues who wants a copy in the original higher resolution can simply send me an e-mail. Most of the shots starting in 2001 are originally 1600 x 1200. Scans of old photos are all over the lot, but the old photos can be re-scanned at as high a resolution as needed.
