Allen D. Beard‚ 59‚ husband of Carol (Brey) Beard‚ of Stonehearth Lane in Telford‚ died June 22‚ 2006 at Grand View Hospital. He and his wife were married 36 years August 9‚ 2005. Born in Allentown‚ he was the son of the late Howard and Virginia Beard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Beard was employed as a forklift operator at Knoll International in East Greenville for 25 years. In addition to his wife‚ he is survived by a daughter‚ Susan Hetrick and her husband‚ Brian‚ of Macungie; a son‚ David A. Beard and his wife‚ Karen‚ of Oley; and five grandchildren‚ Kyle‚ Matthew‚ Sarah‚ Hunter and Madison. Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Mann-Slonaker Funeral Home‚ 222 Washington Street in East Greenville. Interment will follow in Frieden's Union Cemetery in Sumneytown. Calling hours are 7 to 8:30 PM Monday evening and Tuesday morning from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.
